Reopen All Churches Now; Enough Is Enough — CAN Blows Hot

The President, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), His Eminence, Rev (Dr) Samson 'Supo Ayokunle, in the interest of the affiliation, has approached all state governments that are yet to revive holy places under their watches to do so now on the grounds that the proceeded with lockdown request on the spots of love is not, at this point adequate and sensibly advocated.

"In spite of the mandate given by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 with respect to the re-opening of spots of love across the nation, a few states like Lagos and Ogun are yet to permit venerate places, particularly temples, to be revived. What sin have the spots of love submitted?", Ayokunle said in an announcement.

"With the abrupt rise of the coronavirus pandemic, the authority of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), at all levels, concurred with the administration on the need to shut down the spots of love, economy, schools and each other aspect of life.

"In any case, with the reviving of the economy, particularly the business sectors (both sorted out and the chaotic markets) alongside the arrangement to revive air terminals and schools, the conclusion of places of worship anyplace in the nation is not, at this point reasonable and worthy.

"How are the opened and side of the road showcases more composed than the congregation which justified their opening? Is it not our individuals in the spots of love that do go to business sectors and different parts opened? "For what reason would they say they are permitted to go to business sectors and prohibited from going to spots of love?

"Is it in light of the fact that the advertisers can't get the infection in the business sectors and air terminals?

"It is our feeling that while the legislature and other pertinent partners are endeavoring to get a remedy for the COVID-19 pandemic, the Church also has a task to carry out by looking for divine arrangements too.

"CAN engage the Lagos, Ogun and other state governments where temples are as yet under lockdown to loosen up it for the good of God.
